About

Samantha is a New York-based scenic & fine artist.

Since a young age, Samantha has always known the arts would remain a fundamental part of her life.

As a scenic artist & charge, she has worked on and overseen productions across the country — partnering with companies such as Pink Sparrow, Williamstown Theatre Festival, VDA Productions, South Coast Repertory Theatre, Des Moines Metro Opera, The Huntington, and more. She received her Bachelors of Fine Arts from Boston University with a major in Scene Design, and focused on scenic art and arts administration. In 2024, she moved from student to educator. Samantha took on the role of Interim Scenic Charge and Paint Shop Supervisor for Emerson College, where she helped her students navigate the sampling process, shop maintenance, and a variety of new techniques to bring main stage productions to life. She is now continuing her freelance career in New York City, hopping between theatrical endeavors, murals, fabrication, and more.

In her personal art, she explores the female body and nature through dreamlike landscapes, distorted figures, and pearlescent embroidery. Her work continues to evolve and explore the concept of self, and a relationship to nature — both human and wild. Samantha takes on a limited number of commissions each year. If you would like to get in touch regarding a commission, a print, or a special project, please reach out via email.
